Loren was born in Santa Clara California and was first turned on to music by his brother Kevin and his father William Kaiser, a drummer and guitar player. During his early pre-teen years, he briefly played the bass and drums in his brothers studio , but always had a love for the skins. He moved to Sonora California at age 12, went to school at Sonora Elementary and graduated from Sonora High School in 1987.

Following his second passion, fast cars, and the mechanics of. He became an ASE certified auto technician and a certified Smog Check technician at the age of 18. He then graduated from Columbia College with a 2 year degree in the automotive field and pursued his career.

He fell in love at the age of 20 and married Lorie Kaiser, his wife of 26 years. Two years later they had a daughter, Danyelle.

After more than 15 years working as a mechanic he was able to start his own business and start playing the drums again. He built an automotive shop with a studio on the side to facilitate practicing while still running his business. He took lessons from the legendary Jim Anderson for a year or so, then joined the local cover band Uplands Drive. He enjoyed playing with them for over 4 years, until his passion for a different style of music called him away. His biggest influences are Kenny Aronoff , Bruce Gary, and his brother Kevin Kaiser.

In Sonora California, Loren found a vibrant music community where he frequently performs in many different settings with The STOMPBOX band. While his first love is the drums, when Loren isn't behind the kit he can be found running his business, helping his wife in the yard, jeeping, fishing, camping and listening to music, and loves mixing bands.
